Client: Ronin Brand
Project for Ronin Brand to develop jiu jitsu dogi’s. One being a tribute to NYC, and the other inspired by the Japanese historical events of the 47 Ronin.
The 47 Gi is honor to the 47 Ronin Samurais. What we did was illustrated 47 techniques (submissions & takedowns) inside the jacket. The artist had to think carefully and strategically with the moves & locations placed for the inside of the jacket.
Ronin branding in Full embroidery on the shoulder areas directly onto the gi. The Ronin Logo is placed in the center of a shuriken.
The gi jacket is Pre-shrunk (will shrink only about 1-2″) and is composed of 100% cotton 450gsm. Lapel is made of a thick firm EVA foam material. The pants are 12oz. cotton twill material with common used reinforcements.
