BIO
John grew up in Philadelphia, and during the younger half of his life he moved out to the west with his family. That’s when he opened up to the world. During this time John and his family moved about the country living in different places, meeting and growing with people of all sorts of cultures and races. Picking up on art at an early age, but not until he had to work for a living did he start to take it more seriously. He later planned to focus on his skills and life as an artist. After several years and many cities later he once again moved to find his place in the world. Now he is back on the east coast, creating more than ever and continuing with his career as an artist. “Art to me is just another form of communication. Some people think that to be a skillful artist you have to be gifted, which is not true. If you can speak you can conversate, so if you can write you can draw. I’ll continue to create until the day when I create the piece that will define me as a human being. Until then I wont stop. ”

MISSION STATEMENT
I create art to show emotions that are hard for me to share or speak. I feel that art is life and life is art that they coexist with one another. From our way of living to our fashion and technologies are influenced by artistic representation. I choose art to express my thoughts and views on life and the social environment in which I was raised. The mediums I work with are acrylics, gouache and some watercolor. I tend to work fast with quick movements of the brush to get out what it is I am feeling at the moment of creation. Art is not always pretty but it is hard to get out of my system. Life, people and the different cultures I’ve had the pleasure of interacting with have been a major influence in the way I create and express with visual art.
